Become a Lifeguard
group-underwater-5.jpgAre you looking for leadership experience? Get certified as a lifeguard. With these certifications you open doors to work anywhere in Canada - including the GSP! Earn high school credits through the training, get a job that pays a competitive wage, work outside, teach people water survival skills, and be proud to be a part of a team that works hard and has lots of fun!

Importantly, residents can take training right here at home! This is great news for people – especially youth – who aren’t sure what they want to do in terms of a career path.

Click HERE for full descriptions of the courses and check back in the Spring to see when we are offering courses in 2018.

Want to get active? Join Aquafit!

Aquafit-Photo-(1).JPGAquafit is a group exercise class in the water for mature youth, adults, and seniors. Expect a variety of cardio, strength, and flexibility exercises that you can modify according to your own fitness level and ability.

There are many options given by the instructor for each movement to make it easy, medium, or harder.

The great thing about it is that in addition to the standard benefits of any exercise, the water supports your body and reduces the risk of muscle or joint injury.
